Chamberlain Newman

10th Mister Xavier

The Reimagined Administration

Teamwork makes the dream work! Throughout Chamberlain Newman’s life, many dreams and goals have been accomplished, and there are plans for continued success. However, none of this success would be possible without God and family. Chamberlain has been blessed with two loving parents who have provided for all of his needs. An older brother has also served as a strong source of inspiration. Chamberlain is grateful for the ability to rely on these great individuals throughout his life. Such a blessing has invoked a strong sense of stewardship, leading him to dedicate his life to being a blessing to others. There are plans to continue sharing knowledge, wisdom, understanding, and resources with others.

From the age of six through high school, Chamberlain learned the importance of discipline, perseverance, and work ethic through playing organized competitive sports. After enrolling at Xavier, he was no longer a student-athlete, as he shifted more focus towards academics and campus involvement. Through participation in organizations such as Mobilization at Xavier 2.0, the Biology Club, the Xi Sigma Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and the Student Government Association, Chamberlain’s leadership and commitment to service have heightened! While serving as a leader, he has dedicated an abundance of time and energy to empower those around him, regardless of their specific backgrounds or identities. Developing authentic relationships with students and faculty has taught Chamberlain the essence of objectivity and sincerity in communication, for which he is truly grateful.

After graduating in May 2025, Chamberlain plans to attend medical school and become a physician. Working with impoverished, underserved communities has highlighted the need for equity and inclusion. He is driven to be the change he wants to see in medicine. Chamberlain is aware of health disparities and aspires to work towards equity in medicine and positive health outcomes for all. As a Black male pursuing higher education, he enters many medical spaces as a minority. Chamberlain knows that he can positively impact medicine by increasing the representation of historically underrepresented groups and providing excellent care to diverse patient populations.
