Madisyn Grice is a passionate first-generation college student from Memphis, Tennessee, pursuing a degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Women’s Studies. As the eldest of three siblings, she has embraced the role of a leader and mentor, demonstrating resilience and determination throughout her academic journey.

Madisyn began her involvement in the Student Government Association (SGA) as a member of the treasurer team during her freshman year. Her leadership journey continued as she served as a Public Relations member during her sophomore year, eventually advancing to the role of Public Relations Director in her junior year. Currently, as Secretary and Chief Communications Officer, she manages all records and meeting minutes, oversees the department of communications, and serves as the corresponding secretary. Through her work in SGA, she passionately advocates for her peers and fosters a strong sense of community on campus.

Faith is not just an aspect of Madisyn’s life—it is the foundation of who she is. As an active member of her church, she is deeply involved in service and ministry, striving to live out her faith in everything she does. Her relationship with God informs her decisions, and she is committed to sharing the life-changing power of God's love with others through her words and actions.

Madisyn is also conducting research with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), tackling critical environmental issues that disproportionately impact underserved communities. As a Gulf Research Scholar recognized by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, she is committed to advancing her knowledge and advocating for environmental justice.

With an eye toward the future, Madisyn aspires to pursue a PhD in Environmental and Coastal Science. Her mission is to amplify the voices of minorities in a field where they are often underrepresented. Driven by a passion for environmental justice, she aims to ensure that everyone has a seat at the table in discussions about public health and environmental issues.
