IMPLEMENTING THE SECRETARY OF ALUMNI AFFAIRS ONTO THE SGA PRESIDENTIAL CABINET__________________

Whereas, the Student Government Association President has the constitutional authority to create executive departments and committees to assist the executive officers in the administration of the executive branch;

Whereas, the President recognizes the benefit that a direct relationship with the National Alumni Association (NAA) can have for the student body regarding funding;

Whereas, while the Pre-Alumni Council (PAC) plays a vital role in preparing students for post-graduate engagement and fostering pre-alumni programming, it operates with its own initiatives, priorities, and independent mission;

Whereas, the Presidential Cabinet will now contain a Secretary of Alumni Affairs whose primary responsibility will be securing funds from the NAA for use within the SGA budget.

Now, therefore, I, Chase Patterson, President of the Student Government Association at Xavier University of Louisiana, in accordance with the SGA Constitution, hereby issue the following directive to become effective immediately:

1) To ensure that the Presidential Cabinet is properly structured in perpetuity, this executive order shall permanently remain in effect and in full force unless it is modified, amended, rescinded, or superseded by the SGA President, which must be done by an Executive Order.
