SECOND AMENDMENT TO EXECUTIVE ORDER 78.1

Whereas, the Student Government Association President has the constitutional authority to determine process for all branches, councils, and recognized student organizations (RSOs) within the Student Government Association (SGA), including Class Councils;
Whereas, the SGA President has found inconsistencies in the Class Council Code after reviewing the charges against the Junior Class Council following their impeachment and removal;
Whereas, the class council responsibilities will be adjusted so that they cannot be exploited and placed on individual officers below the Class President when interpreted during summoning and hearings.
Now, therefore, I, Chase Patterson, President of the Student Government Association at Xavier University of Louisiana, in accordance with the SGA Constitution, hereby issue the following directive to become effective immediately:
1) A clause will be added to Section III.5 stating that any event held by the class councils are eligible to meet their required events if at least 20% of the event’s budget is paid from the class council’s budget.
2) A clause will be added to Section III.5 stating that all class council officers are required to be present at the events hosted by the class council.
3) Section III.5, Clause 1, Point 4 will be removed.
4) Section II.5, Clause 3, point 5 will be removed.
5) Section III.5, Clause 2, Point 4 will be amended to state “Six (6)
Council events per semester or Class apparel distribution per
semester.”
6) Points under Section III.5, Clause 1 and Clause 3 will have a point
added to reflect the amended point from Clause 2.
7) Section III.5, Clause 4, Point 9 will be amended to state “Class apparel
distribution (Fall Semester)”

8) This executive order shall permanently remain in effect and in full force unless it is modified, amended, rescinded, or suspended by the SGA President, which must be done by executive order.
