Whereas, the Student Government Association President has the constitutional authority to adopt procedures for the expediency of Student Government Association through an executive order;
Whereas, The Supreme Court has noted that their current monitoring process of the class councils is inefficient due to the time in between the notice of a summoning and the summoning date;
Now, therefore, I, Chase Patterson, President of the Student Government Association at Xavier University of Louisiana, in accordance with the SGA Constitution, hereby issue the following directive to become effective immediately:
1) Clause 4, Subclause 3 of the SGA Bylaws, which was passed through EO 78.1, will be amended to state “the Chief Justice must inform the Class President that their council will be summoned at least 1 week prior to their summoning date.”
2) This executive order shall permanently remain in effect and in full force unless it is modified, amended, rescinded, or superseded by the SGA President, which must be done by an Executive Order.
