Whereas, low response rates to surveys conducted during the 78th and 79th administrations have hindered the progress of the Student Government Association to successfully advocate for the desires of the student body;

Whereas, students have made the President aware of factors that deter and hinder them from participating in various forms of data collection such as our Microsoft platform requiring a tedious sign-in process for each survey;

Whereas, the President aims to remove any barrier that may be currently hindering student engagement and slowing the University in its growth.

Now, therefore, I, Chase Patterson, President of the Student Government Association at Xavier University of Louisiana, in accordance with the SGA Constitution, hereby issue the following directive to become effective immediately:

  1. 1)  All data collected for use by the Student Government Association must be gathered using the Google Forms platform with the setting to not collect student emails active. This requirement applies to the Executive Board, the Senate, the Supreme Court, and the Homecoming and Springfest Committees.

  2. 2)  Any forms currently gathering data and not using the Google Forms platform before this order's release will still be considered valid.

  3. 3)  This executive order shall permanently remain in effect for the entire 80th Administration Term and be dismissed after the 2025 Gold Ball.

It is ordered.

Chase Patterson

President, Student Government Association
